Meta is working to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-based search engine to answer search queries on social media platforms like Instagram or Facebook, The Information reported. Meta aims to reduce dependence on Alphabet's Google and Microsoft's Bing, the report added. Currently, Meta's AI chatbot uses Google and Bing to find web information for user queries.
