A bride led her own wedding procession to groom's house in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Rajesh Jaiswal, bride’s father, reportedly has no sons and raised his five daughters like sons and it was his dream to see his daughter’s wedding procession move with same grandeur associated with groom’s entry. Family even printed wedding invitations reading "Ladki Ki Baraat (girl's wedding procession)".
