Vyommitra, ISRO's half-humanoid robot, will be launched on an uncrewed mission this December, marking a big step in India's first human spaceflight program, Gaganyaan, ISRO Chief V Narayanan announced. Vyommitra is one of three test runs of the mission. The robot will act as a stand-in for astronauts to test life support and other systems before real people go up.
