China has introduced a new K visa, effective from October 1, to attract young foreign talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM fields are eligible for the visa. Applicants will not need a local Chinese company to sponsor them, removing a big obstacle for foreign professionals.
