Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli troops will occupy Mount Hermon, part of a buffer zone in Syria, until "another arrangement is found that will ensure Israel's security". Netanyahu made the comments from Mount Hermon itself, which is about 10 kilometres from border with Israel-held Golan Heights. Israeli troops entered the buffer zone after ex-Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's ouster.
