Sleeping only two hours a day for a long time can severely impair brain function, pulmonologist Dr Neetu Jain said. She explained that such sleep deprivation causes fatigue, poor concentration and slower reactions. The body's cortisol levels rise, leading to hormonal imbalance. Chronic sleep loss increases risk of hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, depression and memory decline, she warned.
