A haunting ghostly skull-like image, also seen from space, has emerged in Chad’s Trou au Natron crater, part of the Tibesti Mountains in the Sahara Desert. The illusion, created by white salt crusts and dark volcanic ridges, is a natural wonder formed in an extinct volcano. Scientists say the eerie ‘face’ is an example of pareidolia, seeing patterns in nature.
