An individual who misses the deadline for filing their ITR can still file a belated return by December 31, 2025. However, they will have to pay a fine depending on whether person's income is more or less than ₹5 lakh. If a person misses the belated return filing deadline also, they can submit an updated return till March 31, 2030.
