Activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali J Angmo, has approached the Supreme Court challenging his detention under the National Security Act (NSA). This comes days after she sent a letter to President Droupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding Sonam’s immediate release. The 59-year-old was arrested after four people were killed in violent statehood protests in Ladakh.
