Ricky Ponting has been appointed PBKS' head coach, over two months after he and DC parted ways ending his seven-year tenure at the franchise. Ponting is PBKS' third head coach in four seasons. PBKS had finished ninth in the 2024 season. Ponting helped DC reach playoffs for three successive seasons (2019 to 2021).
