Actor Mohanlal was conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, becoming youngest recipient from his state, during the 71st National Awards ceremony. While accepting his award, he said, "This moment is not mine alone. It belongs to the entire Malayalam cinema fraternity." He added, "I never dared to dream of this moment, not even in my wildest dreams...It's magical, it's sacred."
