Paris has opened Seine river that flows near the Eiffel Tower for public swimming for the first time since 1923. Three sites along the river's banks will welcome over 1,000 swimmers daily until August 31, local officials said. Notably, the river was opened for the 2024 Olympics swimming events but had to be closed again due to harmful pollution levels.
