The Centre approved the Maharashtra government's request to initiate ten additional local train services on Mumbai Suburban Railway's Port Line. These are: Nerul-Uran-Nerul (4 trips) and Belapur-Uran-Belapur (6 trips). Stoppages at Targhar and Gavhan have also been approved. "This will significantly benefit commuters and make the daily travel of Mumbaikars much easier," CM Devendra Fadnavis said.
