Mumbai Police has written to Indian Navy and the Maharashtra Maritime Board, seeking detailed information about the incident where a Navy speedboat collided with a ferry and killed 14 people. The police asked who gave permission for conducting a trial run on such a busy maritime route. Police is reportedly also probing if the ferry had exceeded its passenger capacity.
