Russian President Vladimir Putin called for a Russia-US missile face-off, claiming that Russia's new Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile could defeat any US missile defence system. Reacting to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, "Do you think he is a sane person? B*****ds." Putin asked US to choose a target for Russia in Ukraine and protect it.
