The Indian government is set to acquire a substantial number of Meteor air-to-air missiles for its Rafale fighter jets, ANI reported. The Rafale is currently the only aircraft in the IAF capable of firing the European beyond-visual-range missiles, which have a range of up to 200 kilometres. The proposal, worth around ₹1,500 crore, is at an advanced stage, sources said.
