US President-elect Donald Trump has announced his plan to attend the grand reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on December 7. Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron had inspected the cathedral's restoration work and lauded the workers for doing what he called "the impossible" by healing a "national wound". Notre Dame had caught on fire in 2019.
