A BJP MLA from Maharashtra filed a police complaint alleging a woman tried to extort him by threatening to leak “obscene” chats and videos. Police later found the culprit was an unemployed youth posing as the woman. He had met Patil six months ago, seeking a job, but was turned away. Short of cash, he later plotted the sextortion plan.
