The Railways has announced financial assistance of ₹10 lakh each for the families of those killed in the Chhattisgarh train collision, ₹5 lakh each for passengers with severe injuries, and ₹1 lakh each for those with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the state government announced an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh for the kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 each for the injured.
