On Diwali eve, Uttar Pradesh Tourism, Ayodhya administration and Saryu Arti Samiti set a new Guinness World Record for the most people performing the simultaneous Saryu aarti. This year 2,128 people performed the aarti simultaneously, breaking the last year's record of 1,151. Moreover, 26,17,215 diyas were lit in Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali to break another Guinness World Record.
