The Supreme Court on Monday raised concerns over exorbitant rates charged in multiplexes for cinema tickets as well as for food and beverages. "You charge ₹100 for a water bottle, ₹700 for coffee," Justice Vikram Nath remarked. "This...should be fixed. Cinema...is declining, make it more reasonable for people to come and enjoy, otherwise, cinema halls will be empty," Nath stated.
