World's first 24-hour music broadcaster MTV will shut its channels in several countries, starting with the UK and Ireland after 44 years, reports said. This is part of Paramount Global's cost-cutting strategy. Channels in Australia, Poland, France, and Brazil will also face similar closures. MTV Live, MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV are shutting down in the UK.
