Forty-two US lawmakers are demanding visa bans and asset freezes on Pakistani officials over "worsening human rights crisis in Pakistan" under PM Shehbaz Sharif's military-backed government and Chief of Army Staff General Munir. In a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the lawmakers held these officials responsible for threatening US citizens who criticise Pakistan's military establishment.
