Russian President Vladimir Putin said whatever is happening in Syria isn't a "defeat for Russia". Putin, who granted asylum to ex-Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, also said he hasn't met Assad yet but will do so. Putin's comments came as Syria's transitional government said there's no place for Russian presence in Syria, adding that it should reconsider its troops in country.
