TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee has been suspended from one session of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. This comes after he smashed a glass bottle during the meeting reportedly following a heated altercation with BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay. His hand was also injured from the broken bottle.
