"Assam is playing a significant role in this journey," he said, adding that the semiconductor plant in Morigaon is being set up at a cost of ₹27,000 crore. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had earlier presented the first Made-in-India semiconductor chip to PM Modi.
