India abstained from a UN General Assembly vote on a draft resolution demanding that Russia ensure the immediate return of all Ukrainian children allegedly forcibly transferred or deported since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war. Notably, the resolution came a day before Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India. China, Pakistan and Bangladesh also abstained from the resolution.
