Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey 2025 on Friday. As per the Economic Survey, the all-India annual unemployment rate for individuals aged 15 years and above has declined from 6% in 2017-18 to 3.2% in 2023-24. Further, the proportion of self-employed workers in workforce has risen from 52.2% in 2017-18 to 58.4% in 2023-24, reflecting growing entrepreneurial activity.
