Generative AI has reduced monthly job listings by nearly 20% for white-collar occupations in South Asia, according to the World Bank's South Asia Development Update. The largest relative job losses have occurred in the business services and IT sectors. The report, however, noted that jobs requiring AI skills are growing and command a 30% wage premium.
