Pete Hegseth, who is set to be the Secretary of Defense in US President-elect Donald Trump's administration, reportedly paid a woman who accused him of sexual assault to settle the threat of a lawsuit. He was accused of sexual assault in 2017 even as no charges were filed. Hegseth denied wrongdoing and maintained that the sexual encounter was consensual.
