A woman was brutally attacked with an iron rod by a history-sheeter, banned from Mumbai, while returning from a friends home in Chembur on Saturday at 1 AM. She suffered severe head injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Sion Hospital. The Chembur police have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused.
