Several cases of Booth Level Officers(BLOs) allegedly dying by suicide or otherwise due to work pressure amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision(SIR) of electoral rolls in various states and union territories have been reported. The SIR requires BLOs to visit door-to-door and distribute enumeration forms in their assigned booth. They also have to revisit to collect the filled forms.
