About 34 lakh Aadhaar card holders in West Bengal have been found to be 'deceased' since Aadhaar was introduced in 2009, UIDAI has informed the Election Commission. The Aadhaar body also stated that about 13 lakh people in the state who never possessed Aadhaar cards have also died. This comes amid the ongoing voter roll revision exercise in the state.
