The last Supermoon of 2025 lit up skies across the world on the intervening night of December 4-5. The Moon reached perigee and appeared up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. Its name called 'Cold Moon' arising from Indigenous North American traditions of Mohawk and Mohican peoples, reflects season’s chill, long nights and the onset of deep winter.
