Neurologist Dr Sudhir Kumar has recommended that a person should take several 5-10 minute walks rather than walking 60 minutes in the morning and then sitting the rest of the day. Breaking up the sitting time "improves blood sugar and cholesterol levels, lowers heart attack and stroke risk, keeps metabolism active all day and boosts focus and energy," he said.
