TCS has planned to retrain 1 lakh employees annually as AI is reshaping client demands and the technology industry, Nikkei Asia reported. The reskilling announcement follows its recent workforce restructuring, where 6,000 employees, representing about 1% of its workforce, were laid off in Q2 FY26. With this reduction, the total headcount declined by nearly 20,000 to 5.93 lakh.
