Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies, an Indo-American body, wrote to President Joe Biden and Donald Trump urging them to engage with Bangladesh's interim government and ensure the release of Hindu monk Chinmoy Das. The body appealed Biden and Trump to ensure that minority communities are protected in Bangladesh. Das has been jailed on sedition charges.
