Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr declared a state of emergency after Typhoon Kalmaegi left at least 114 people dead and 127 missing mostly in Cebu province. The typhoon has affected nearly 2 million people, displaced over 5,60,000 villagers. According to officials another tropical cyclone from the Pacific could strengthen into a super typhoon and reach northern Philippines early next week.
