India's auto sector delivered its strongest October performance on record, driven by festive purchasing and the GST overhaul that slashed prices on entry-level vehicles, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said. Domestic sales of passenger vehicles rose 17.2% YoY to 4,60,739 units from 3,93,238 units in the same period last year. Two-wheeler sales grew 2.1% to 22,10,727 units.
