The Sentinelese, indigenous people of Andaman's North Sentinel Island, are a protected tribe and are known to be hostile to outsiders. In 1997, all outside contacts and visits to North Sentinel Island were officially banned. It's against Indian law for outsiders to visit North Sentinel or make any contact with the Sentinelese, considered to be the world's last pre-Neolithic tribe.
