A businessman named Amit Sarkar, who is also TMC worker, was allegedly beaten by TMC miscreants for refusing to pay ₹10,000 donation for Durga Puja, demanded by local club in Kolkata. Sarkar alleged club initially demanded ₹4,000 for his two shops, but increased it to ₹10,000. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has asked police to take stern action against culprits.
