Customs officials at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport seized endangered wild animals, including meerkats and Sumatran striped rabbits, being smuggled from Bangkok. Two passengers were arrested under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and the Indian Customs Act. According to a press note, the animals were found concealed in a trolley bag.
