Mumbai batter Simran Shaikh has become the most expensive player in WPL 2025 auction. The 22-year-old was bought by Gujarat Giants (GG) for ₹1.9 crore. She was bought for her base price of ₹10 lakh by UP Warriorz in the inaugural auction in 2023. She had gone unsold in the WPL 2024 auction. Her father Jahid Ali is a wireman.
