A British couple, Barbie Reynolds (76) and husband Peter (80), arrived in UK from Afghanistan, after being freed from eight months in Taliban captivity. The couple, ran charity in Afghanistan where they lived for 18 years, were detained in February 2025. Their daughter, Sarah said, "Grateful to Qatari and British governments for standing with us during this difficult time".
