The Indian Council of Medical Research launched its first High Performance Computing facility named NAKSHATRA at ICMR–National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. Developed under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, it will process large volumes of genomic and bioinformatics data. Dr Rajiv Bahl said the facility is a timely and strategic step towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
