In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, RJD emerged as the single-largest party, winning 75 seats, followed by BJP, which won 74 seats. Nitish Kumar's JD(U) won 43 seats, Congress 19, and LJP (RV) won only one seat in 2020. On Friday, BJP won 89 seats, JD(U) 85 and LJP (RV) 19 seats. RJD won 25 seats and Congress six.
