Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te on Thursday posted photos of himself holding a plate of sushi to show support for Japan, after China suspended Japanese seafood imports amid conflict between them. A video on Instagram showed Lai telling his followers that it "might be a good time to eat Japanese cuisine". China’s foreign ministry dismissed Lai's post as a "stunt".
