An Indian-origin man with a green card has been detained for over a month over a decades-old minor offence involving use of pay phone without payment, Newsweek reported. Paramjit Singh was detained after returning from an India trip. He has a brain tumour and heart condition. His custody was prolonged despite a bond ruling in his favour, his lawyer said.
