The Indian government is planning to include an in-built travel insurance component in air tickets, which could mean that travellers cancelling tickets at the last minute could get up to an 80% refund, TOI reported. Currently, cancellations within three hours of departure are non-refundable. The government is mulling how this component can be added at no extra cost for flyers.
