Speaking about the stampede in Tamil Nadu's Karur district, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said he is "anguished by tragic accident." "The loss of innocent lives is truly heartbreaking...My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families," he said. Over 30 people are feared dead at the stampede which broke out at the rally of TVP chief Vijay in Karur on Saturday.
